Barn Dance

The strapline for the Ministry Area is “friendship, fellowship, faith and fun” and this was our attempt at building fellowship and having fun. On 28 October we were joined by the “Pluck and Squeeze” band for our ministry area barn dance (Fun fact: this was the band that played for the barn dance in the Gavin and Stacey TV series).

 It was a fantastic evening, with so much joy and laughter. The youngest dancer being only 3 years old, and the oldest being in their late 80s. The music was paced well, enabling everyone to join in without being instantly exhausted, and we had an excellent caller who patiently and expertly let us do the dances. People said they haven’t laughed so much in years and for me the vicar it was certainly one of my highlights of 2023.
